A Garda investigation is underway after a man was assaulted by a group of men in Clare.
The incident happened in Shannon in the early hours of Saturday morning.
It’s understood that around 3 o’clock on Saturday morning, a man was walking home alone from a night out, when was set upon by a group of men and assaulted in the Bothar Mór area of Shannon.
Gardai are appealing to the public for their assistance regarding this incident and are appealing to anyone who may have been in the area during the early hours of Saturday morning, or who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.
They’re particularly interested in hearing from anyone who may have dash-cam or video footage that may assist in the investigation.
