A man has been arrested in connection with an aggravated burglary in Shannon.
At around 10.30 yesterday morning, a man forced his way into a house in Finian Park, Shannnon carrying a weapon, pushed the homeowner to the ground and threatened him.

The intruder left empty-handed a short time later.
A man in his late 20’s has since been arrested in connection with the incident and is currently being detained at Shannon Garda Station.
There are no reports of injuries.
