Man Arrested In Clare For Drug Driving Released Without Charge

A man arrested after testing positive for drug driving in Clare has been released without charge.

The man in his early 20’s was arrested in Ennis town at around midnight on Sunday after being stopped for road traffic offences.

Gardaí have tweeted that he tested positive for cocaine and cannabis after being tested on the scene by members of the Clare Garda Traffic Corps using specialist equipment.

The man was arrested and taken to Ennis Garda Station, where a sample was taken.

He has since been released without charge, pending analysis.
