A man has been arrested as part of an operation targeting illegal hare hunting in the county.
Gardaí in North Clare stopped a vehicle, following reports of suspicious behaviour and a number of hunting dogs and a thermal imagining scope were uncovered.

The vehicle and scope were seized and a man arrested in connection with the seizures is due to appear in court.
Under Section 44 of the Wildlife Acts, it is an offence to enter any land for the purpose of hunting without the permission of the landowner.
Gardaí are asking landowners and members of the public to remain vigilant and to report any illegal hunting or other illegal activity to your local Garda Station or the National Parks and Wildlife Service.
