A man has appeared in court in Co Tipperary in connection with an alleged assault in Co Clare on Thursday.
A man in his 30s was treated in hospital after emergency services received reports of an incident in Quin at around 8.00pm on Thursday.
A man in his 40s was arrested at the scene and questioned. He was later charged and brought before a sitting of Nenagh District Court on Friday morning.
A technical examination was conducted at the scene while the Garda investigation into the incident is continuing.
A Garda spokesperson confirmed: “Gardaí are investigating an assault that occurred in Quin, Co. Clare on Thursday evening, 21st August 2025 shortly before 8:00pm. A male, aged in his 30s, was brought to hospital for treatment of injuries, not believed to be life-threatening.
A male, aged in his 40s, was arrested at the scene and detained at a Garda station in Co. Clare under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act, 1984. He has since been charged and appeared before Nenagh District Court this morning, Friday 22nd August 2025.”
