A thirty year old man has appeared before Sligo district court charged in connection with an armed barricaded incident over the weekend.

Michael O’ Connor with an address at Scardenmore, Strandhill Road, Sligo was charged with possession of a single barrel shotgun with intent to endanger life.
He’s been remanded in custody to appear before Harristown District Court on Friday.
A request for Mr. O’ Connor to be medically assessed while in custody was granted.
