Major Traffic Plan In Place For Truck Run for Katie

A major traffic operation is being implemented in Ennis and parts of North Clare this weekend as the 2nd annual Truck Run for Katie gets underway.

In excess of 300 trucks will depart Ennis in three separate convoys, with the first away shortly after one o’clock on Saturday afternoon, travelling through a number of towns and villages in West and North Clare.

It’s the first of a number of events, which have been inspired by 24-year-old Katie Drennan who lost her life to Cystic Fibrosis in 2015, with a cycle to Katie’s grave in Doolin on Sunday and a family fun day at the Auburn Lodge.
