Major disruption for Shannon Air Passengers

 

A cloud of ash caused by a volcano erupting in Iceland has brought havoc to flight schedules across Ireland, the UK and Europe, with restrictions imposed on UK airspace.

Aer Lingus has cancelled 30 flights at all airports while Ryanair has axed ten – Several Shannon UK services have already been hit and further disruption is expected.

The three main airports in Scotland have been shut down, flights in and out of Manchester have been suspended until lunchtime, Newcastle International Airport closed its airspace at 7am, while Heathrow Airport has cancelled 150 flights.
