It's claimed landowners in Clare can't bear the sole responsibilty for keeping hedges cut back.

Maghera Councillor Pat Hayes is concerned for the health and safety of motorists on some of the busier roads in the county, that don't qualify under current hedgecutting programmes.
He's calling for a programme of hedge-cutting to be put in place and Clare County Council says it will investigate if there is funding available for such works to be carried out.
