There are fresh calls for the Government to act on the UN recommendations for Magdalene survivors.
Earlier this month the Committee Against Torture criticised the State for not conducting a full investigation into the institutions and not providing redress to all survivors – something it recommended in 2011.
Magdalene survivors gathered today to highlight that they still don’t have a memorial and that many are still waiting on redress.
