A criminal case being against a West Clare man accused of murdering another man in Dublin is due for mention before the Central Criminal Courts today.
Criostor MacCarthaigh, with an address at Leitrim, Cree has pleaded not guilty to murdering 35 year old David Whyte on or between the 24th and 26th of September 2008.
The security guard’s body was discovered at a derelict cemetery in Palmerstown.
A jury was sworn in last Tuesday to hear the case but the following day Mr Justice Garrett Sheehan informed the court the trial was not in a position to proceed and discharged the jury.
The case is due up for mention at the Central Criminal Court in Dublin today
