News that the Lynch Hotel Group has gone into examinership with debts of 23 million has been described as a huge blow to the Clare hotel industry.
The family run Clare business confirmed yesterday that it’s begun the proceedings voluntary for its 7 hotels in Clare, Limerick and Mayo.
The company says that they have taken the action to restructure their business and as a long-term step to ensure the future of the Lynch Hotel Group, which employs 530 people throughout the west of Ireland

Michael Vaughan, Chairman of the Shannon branch of the Irish Hotel Federation says he’s confident that the group will survive the process and come out stronger than ever.
