Three people have been rescued by the RNLI after their cruiser ran aground on the western shore of Lough Derg.
The Lough Derg RNLI launched a lifeboat shortly after 6pm on Friday evening, reaching the stranded vessel around thirty minutes later.
After a safety inspection the cruiser was towed off the rocks and into safe water.
Brian Hanly of the Lough Derg RNLI Lifeboat is advising boat users to familiarise themselves with their navigation charts and to plan their passage before setting out.
