Hopes are high that the Loop Head Lighthouse will re-open it’s doors to tourists next year, despite making a financial loss in it’s first summer’s trading.
The lighthouse closes today, and Clare County Council say they will have to hold talks with relevant parties before they can commit to it re-opening in 2012.

However, the Council are giving the lighthouse their full backing, despite an approximate loss of 10,000 euro this year.
