Twelve full- and part-time jobs are to come on stream with the re-opening of Loop Head Lighthouse this weekend.

The 19th Century landmark attracted over 17,000 visitors last year, generating around 650,000 euro for the West Clare economy.
It will now open for the first time this season on Saturday, and remain open to prospective visitors on weekends up to and including September, as well as on weekdays during peak periods.
