A West Clare heritage trail has been named a finalist in one of the world's most prestigious tourism and travel award schemes.

The Loop Head Heritage Trail has been shortlisted in the "Culture and Heritage" category of this year's 12th annual World Responsible Tourism Awards.
The 60 kilometre route, which was set up as a pilot project, takes in fourteen local attractions including the Loop Head Lighthouse, the West Clare Railway and the Bridges of Ross.
