The West Clare peninsula has been awarded the Best Cultural Heritage Attraction in the World Responsible Tourism Awards, beating off stiff competition from South Africa and Connemara.
The awards commend tourism initiatives that demonstrate organisation in a way that preserves, respects, and benefits the local community.
