The long term benefits of Fleadh Cheoil na hEireann are beginning to become evident on the second full day of the festival in Ennis.
Business has picked up over the past number of days but despite accommodation being booked up well in advance, some places have freed up over the past number of days.
It's the second full day of Fleadh and so far today, the sun is beating down on the streets of Ennis.
There's a real festival atmosphere here and business is starting to pick up ahead of the weekend rush.
For some travelling last minute, the issue of accomodation remains the big question.
And though most places were booked out well in advance, Brian O'Neill of the Rowan Tree Hostel says last minute changes have led to places freeing up in parts of the town.
People have already begun arriving from across the country and the world but some traders have expressed concerns that regular shoppers may be put off travelling into the town centre.
But Paul Madden of Clare Tourism and Manager of the Templegate Hotel says the festival will lead to long-term benefits for all businesses in the town.
Fears have also been expressed over the impact of pop-up trade on permanent businesses.
But CEO of Ennis Chamber Rita McInerny says some of those may chose to stay in the town in the long term.
But while businesses keep a close eye on the bottom line, visitors to Ennis are simply focussed on having a good time.
A group of American girls studying at the Franciscan University in Austria, told Clare FM about how they happened to come across the Fleadh on a tour of Ireland and they say they want to come back.
