Local’s Views Will Be Reflected In Irish Open Traffic Plan – McGinley

The host of next year’s Irish Open in Lahinch insists that the views of locals will be reflected in a traffic plan, which is due to be announced shortly.

Fears have been expressed that North Clare’s roads infrastructure won’t be able to cater for the large crowds descending on the area when the golfing event tees off next July, with notorious traffic blackspot Blake’s Corner of particular concern.

The event takes place at the same time as Willie Clancy Week, one of the country’s most anticipated traditional music festivals annually.

Paul McGinley is confident that Clare County Council and the Clare Garda Division have it all in hand.
