Party’s Election Strategy Damaged Chances In Local Election – Slattery

Outgoing Fine Gael Councillor Bill Slattery has said his party’s election strategy scuppered his chances in the local elections.

The Lahinch man was the only sitting councillor not to retain his seat in this weekend’s local elections, and was pipped in the Ennistymon area by party colleague Joe Garrihy.

Today, Bill Slattery has told Clare FM’s Morning Focus that he urged his party not to put forward a second candidate in his locality.
