South East Clare Councillors insists that changes to the Motor Tax Office in Westbury do not amount to a winding down of local services.
From the middle of August Clare County Council’s Area offices in Westbury, Scariff and Kilrush will only provide an on-line renewal service for motor tax and all other applications and renewals will be dealt with in Ennis.

The service in Ennistymon will remain the same.
While the changes won’t hugely impact on Kilrush or Scariff, there are concerns about services in South East Clare as the Westbury office is traditionally extremely busy.
However local councillor Cathal Crowe insists customers will quickly see the benefits of the change
