Former and current local representatives in Clare are calling for the reversal of a decision to abolish town councils.
80 municipal authorities were closed eighteen months ago including those in Ennis, Shannon, Kilrush and Kilkee as part of a range of local government reforms announced by the then Environment Minister Phil Hogan.

Kilrush Councillor Ian Lynch has told Morning Focus the effects will soon be felt across the count.
