Local FG representatives to discuss Budget 2012t with Oireachtas Members

Concerns over the possible closure of public nursing homes in Clare, as well as future of rural primary schools will be raised with local Oireachtas members today, ahead of the upcoming budget

Local fine Gael councillors are to meet with the party’s  four Oireachtas members in Clare to discuss public fears for the budget, particularly in light of reports that the future of public nursing homes in Tuamgraney, Ennistymon and Kilrush could be in doubt.

They’ll also be discussing concerns that small primary schools could be amalgamated and funding for local authority services along with other possible cuts in social welfare in the December 6th budget.
