Clare County Council has been criticised for its decision to host the Israeli ambassador to Ireland at Aras Contae An Chlair.

Ze'ev Boker visited Council headquarters last week, accompanied by Amira Arnon, Director of the Northern European Department in Israel's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, who was on a visit to Ireland.
The Ireland Palestine Solidarity group have criticised the visit, in light of the ongoing conflict in Gaza.
Campaigner Bee Ni Choitir insists Councillors should have had been allowed to have their say on the visit before it was given the go ahead.
