A Lisdoonvarna teenager is hoping to raise awareness of the difficulties of living with Atopic Dermatitis through a social media campaign.
19-year-old Alicja Stachurska, set up her page malinka_eczema to document her struggles with the condition, including a trip to A&E which almost resulted in her contracting sepsis.

In response to a query from Clare FM, HSE Midwest says it can’t comment on individual cases as to do so would ‘breaching the ethical requirement on us to observe our duty of confidentiality’.
Alicja says it was an incredibly traumatic experience.
