Thousands of lonely hearts will decend on North Clare over the next month in the hope of finding their one true love.
The Annual Matchmaking Festival has kicked off in Lisdoonvarna and for the next month, romantic hopefuls, bachelor farmers and fun seekers alike will pack into the town.

As well as being one of Europe’s largest matchmaking events it is also an important tourist attraction for September and early October.
