A major road in North Clare is closed following a crash this evening.
A two-vehicle collision took place on the R477 between Lisdoonvarna and Fanore at approximately 5pm.

At least one injury, which is understood to be serious, has been reported at this time.
The road is expected to be closed for at least an hour as emergency services attend the scene and vehicles are cleared.
