A Limerick man has pleaded guilty to possession of a large sum of cash under Money Laundering and Terrorist Financing legislation.
44-year-old Kenneth Moore, was arrested when Gardai raided his farm at Portcrusha, Mountpeiller, Co Limerick, on June 12th, 2013.
During the planned raid officers discovered 71-thousand Euro in a bag – they also found cannabis resin and plants worth over 37-thousand.
Mr Moore pleaded guilty in court and admitted the cash was the proceeds of crime – he also pleaded guilty to drugs offences.
Defence barrister Andrew Sexton told the court the defendant was "on bail", and, "involved in important matters that are of benefit to society".
Mr Moore will be back in court in March.
