Police in the US are investigating the death of a Limerick man in North Carolina.

The man was discovered with serious head injuries at a house in Panther Creek Court after police received an emergency call at around 3am yesterday of an alleged assault.
The 39-year-old, reported to be from the Janesboro area of the city, was given emergency medical treatment but died at the scene.
Police are believed to be following a definite line of enquiry.
