A Limerick man has pleaded guilty to murdering 4 people including his ex-partner and their 5 month old baby daughter Amy.
John Geary of Meadow Court, Newcastle West has been remanded in custody for sentencing next month.
Wearing jeans and a striped blue shirt, John Geary remained seated in the dock as the four murder charges were read out by the registrar in court.
To each he replied guilty.
The victims are his ex-partner Sarah Hines, their five-month-old baby daughter Amy, her three-year-old brother Reece and 20-year-old Alicia Brough.
All 4 were stabbed to death at a house in Hazelgrove, Newcastle West on November 15th, 2010.
The 33 year old was arrested the following day and charged with their murders.
Mr Justice Paul Carney has remanded him in custody for sentencing on July 8th – in law there is only one sentence he can receive for the crime of murder and that is life.
