A post mortem is being carried out on the body of a man in his sixties, who was discovered seriously wounded at an apartment on Dock Road in Limerick City.
He was rushed to University Hospital Limerick, where he was later pronounced dead.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to contact them at Henry Street Garda Station.
