A senior GAA figure in Limerick has been arrested after allegations of sexual assault were made against him.
The man, aged in his 50s, was arrested by Gardaí based in Bruff, Co Limerick.

He was arrested at his home in South East Limerick, at around 9am this morning.
The man, who is married with children, was brought to Henry Street Garda station in the city for questioning.
He is being held under Section Four of the Criminal Justice Act.
Gardaí can question the man for an initial 12-hour period and can then apply to the courts to extend his period of detention for a maximum 24 hours.
