Figures from the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation show 39 people are waiting on trolleys at University Hospital Limerick, 22 of those in the Emergency Department.
This compares to Beaumont Hospital in Dublin where 34 people are waiting for beds and Naas General Hospital where the figure is 28.
