Met Eireann says further showers are on the way in Clare over the coming days, but we can expect less stormy conditions.
A number of thunderstorm alerts have been issued in this county in recent days, but these are expected to calm to some dry, bright days, before a return to heavy showers this weekend and gradual showers early next week.
The national forecaster says Clare can expect more erratic weather in the future, as climate changes leads to more heavy rain and more drought periods.
Met Éireann forecaster and Tullycrine native Michelle Dillon says climate change is the cause of the intense weather.
