At Least 32 Incidents Of Clare Homes Being Left Without Water – Garvey

It’s claimed there have been at least 32 incidents where homes and businesses in Clare were left with no water for more than three days.

Inagh Senator Roisín Gavey says we’re failing as a nation to provide the basic human right of water, with bottled water becoming the new norm.

She insists that this puts undue pressure on people on low income or those living in direct provision to source funds to purchase water for themselves and their families.

The Green Party Senator claims many people here and in other parts of the country can’t drink from their water supply or cook with it, something she says needs to be urgently tackled.
