A leading Consultant in Intensive Care Medicine has warned that the number of people being treated in ICUs will rise.
349 people with Covid-19 were being treated in Irish hospitals last night, the highest number since May – 19 of those were being treated at University Hospital Limerick, where there was a jump of 6 in covid-related hospital admissions since Friday.

38 patients are in Intensive Care at hospitals across the country, including two in Dooradoyle.
Former President of the Intensive Care Society of Ireland, Dr Catherine Motherway, who’s based at UHL, says numbers haven’t reached their peak yet.
