Jason Corbett died in a domestic incident in North Carolina – and police are not looking for anyone outside the home in connection with his death.

His wife and the stepmother of his two children, Molly Martens, had sought custody of Jack and Sarah – but her case was dismissed yesterday – paving the way for their return to Ireland with their aunt and her husband.

Molly Martens lawyer David Freedman says she'll be lodging an appeal – but it won't prevent the children from returning home.

He says she's devastated her case has been thrown out.
