Latoon Creek Bridge, on the outskirts of Clarecastle, is due to re-open next Monday.
The bridge has been closed since late last November to facilitate roadworks, which were deemed necessary after structural investigation found that significant repairs were required.
The bridge is located on the former N18 between Clarecastle and the Dromoland interchange on the motorway, a key access route into the village.
A stop-go system will be in place for a short time after the bridge opens next week, but local Fine Gael Councillor Paul Murphy is pleased that the works are almost complete.
And you can hear more on this on Clare FM’s Morning Focus from 9am this Monday morning.
