The last descendant of Brian Boru, the High King of Ireland, is to be laid to rest today.
The Right Honourable Lord of Inchiquin, Conor Myles John O’Brien, passed away peacefully at home last Saturday.

O’Brien served in the British Army in the Middle East, Far East and Europe from 1962 to 1975 before retiring to Thomond House, Dromoland Estate in Newmarket on Fergus.
A funeral mass will take place in the Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Newmarket on Fergus, today at 2 pm.
