It’s the final day for Clare people to have their say on a review that will determine if a second Emergency Department is needed in the MidWest.
The public consultation phase of HIQA’s review into emergency and urgent care capacity in the region closes at 5pm today.
The report was commissioned last May following persistent overcrowding at University Hospital Limerick and the preliminary results are expected next month.
UHL remains by far the busiest facility in the country this week and although it’s the only ED for over 413,000 people in Clare, Limerick and North Tipperary, the HSE is advising people to consider all alternative options before attending.
Submissions can be made on the HIQA website or by emailing [email protected].
