A quarter of a million euro worth of drugs have been seized in Limerick.
Gardaí from the Divisional Drug Unit, assisted by local Gardaí, searched a number of houses in the Limerick area yesterday, as part of an ongoing investigation into the sale and supply of controlled substances.
Cannabis resin with a street value of around 19,500 euro, Cocaine worth 12,500 euro and Cannabis herb worth 215,000 euro was discovered during the search of a house in Moyross.
A 31-year-old man was later arrested and detained at Henry Street Garda station under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice Drug Trafficking Act.
During the search of another property in Kileely, 10,050 euro in cash, and Cannabis resin with a street value of 100 euro was also seized.
