Newly-acquired lands by Clare County Council have the potential to bring about up to 500 homes.
Members of the local authority have been told at a briefing this week that over 21 acres of land has been acquired at Claureen in Ennis which will allow the link road between the N85 roundabout and the junctions at Lees Road to progress, enabling the construction of between 180 and 220 houses.

Acting Director of Economic Development Sean Lenihan claims meanwhile that once the lands are opened, there’s scope for up to 500 dwellings.
