A Lahinch priest has been ordained as the new Bishop of Waterford and Lismore.

Father Alphonsus Cullinan formally took the role following a ceremony at Waterford's Cathedral of the Most Holy Trinity yesterday.
The event was attended by local civic leaders, representatives of the President and Taoiseach, and his friends and familty.
