A Lahinch hotelier has hit out over what he’s described as “loutish” behaviour in the coastal town over the past number of weekends.
Michael Vaughan says around 1,000 euro worth of damage was caused when two youths vandalised flag polls outside his premises on Friday night.
He says a light was pulled off a neighbouring property on the same night, while flower beds surrounding the iconic golf ball put in place on the Liscannor Road in the town for the Irish Open were trampled upon and uprooted.
Michael Vaughan, who runs Vaughan’s Lodge says the incident was on his property’s CCTV and he says in sixteen years of business, he hasn’t witnessed such behaviour.
