Lack Of Housing “A Grave Issue” For Shannon Business

It’s claimed the lack of housing is a grave issue for businesses hoping to recruit employees to Shannon.

It comes as the Minister for Housing, Darragh O’Brien paid a visit to Clare last week following an invitation from Shannon Chamber, which took the opportunity to raise a number of economic development issues in the region.

In the last year, just two new homes were purchased in the industrial town.

Shannon Chamber CEO Helen Downes says that more lands must be zoned for residential use in the region.
