It’s claimed the lack of housing is a grave issue for businesses hoping to recruit employees to Shannon.
It comes as the Minister for Housing, Darragh O’Brien paid a visit to Clare last week following an invitation from Shannon Chamber, which took the opportunity to raise a number of economic development issues in the region.
In the last year, just two new homes were purchased in the industrial town.
