Lack of housing supply is being blamed for a 7 per cent increase in rental prices in Clare over the past year.

New figures from daft.ie show that the average price of renting a house in the county id 591, a faster rise than in parts od Dublin.
This figure is 12% higher than at the lowest point of rental prices during the economic downturn.
The report also suggests that mortgage repayments are lower than rental prices for many properties here.
