Labour’s government representative in Clare has played down the significance of the party’s drop in today’s opinion poll.
The IPSOS/MRBI survey shows Labour’s popularity dropped by 6 point drop- compared to 3 for Fine Gael while the satisfaction rating of party leader Eamon Gilmore is down by 14.

However Clare Labour TD Michael McNamara denies its a worrying development given that people are bound to be hurting over what he described as the necessary measures the government is taking.
