Labour looks set to promise to address the equal access to schools issue in its general election manifesto.

Education Minister Jan O'Sullivan says the issue won't be dealt with in the remaining months of the coalition.
Later today a petition of 20,000 signatures will be handed into the Dáil, calling for an end to the practice where some schools can insist on only taking children who are baptised.
Minister O'Sullivan says this is an issue that needs to be dealt with, but not enough time remains before the election.
