The Labour Leader says she's hopeful that Pobal will be very active in facilitating the replacement or renewal of the West Clare Early Years Service.
Joan Burton's comments come after a meeting in Kilrush has heard that a Garda investigation is underway into claims of 500,000 euro worth of financial irregularities at the five centres which closed over the weekend.
At a meeting in Kilrush last night, over 500 members of the community, staff, public representatives and representatives from Pobal heard that a Garda Fraud investigation is underway into financial irregularities at the five centres.
In a statement read to those present, the Department of Children and Youth Affairs said an audit carried out by Pobal in 2014 found "significant governance issues and an amount of over-claimed childcare funding totalling approximately €500,000".
The final report was referred to An Garda Síochána and its Bureau of Fraud Investigation and the Office of the Director of Corporate Enforcement.
The Majority of Clare's Election Candidates attended last night's meeting including Independent Richard Cahill who claims a system allowing a co-operative company to run community organisations would prevent against similar situations in the future.

Joan Burton says every effort will be made to resolve the situation.
